Head Coach

AJ Gravel replaces his mentor, Coach Britt Cornaby.

A 2012 graduate of Centennial, Coach Gravel is excited to have moved back to the Boise area and to again be representing the Patriots.

Coach Gravel is no stranger to the culture of Centennial, having captained the Patriots in 2011 and 2012 to two consecutive championship appearances. During his four years at CHS, he won the JV district championship his freshman year, went on to be a three year varsity starter at the attack position, was named to the All-Conference team three consecutive seasons, and was awarded the U.S. Lacrosse Bob Scott Award in 2012.

Coach relies on the team pillars of "Excellence, Leadership, Integrity, and Commitment" and believes in coaching the Patriots to always, "compete with class" while developing the athletes as young men of value.

Along with having had a successful high school career, Coach brings with him a wealth of experience, having played collegiality at NCAA DII school Adams State University in Colorado. Recruited by legendary coach, Jason Lamb, AJ spent two years at Adams before ultimately deciding to transfer to the University of Idaho.

While playing MCLA DI at Idaho, Coach helped to lead the Vandals to their first team win over rival Oregon in school history, a playoff berth in 2015, captained the squad in 2016 and served as team Vice President. Upon graduating with a BS in Exercise Science and Health in 2016, Coach was named to the Vandal Lacrosse Board and served as team liaison and webmaster for three years.

During this time, while working for the City of Walla Walla in Washington, Coach Gravel started a youth lacrosse league through the Parks and Rec. department and grant money awarded by U.S. Lacrosse.

When not on the lacrosse field, AJ enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and dog. He is an avid outdoorsman and adventurer.

Coach received his Masters in Public Health from Boise State University during the spring of 2021.

Offensive Assistant Coach

Lacrosse has been in my life for a long time! It started with youth leagues, made its way through high school (Centennial, 2014), and ended collegiality at BSU, 18. My career at BSU included becoming an MCLA All-American, 1st team all- conference midfielder, and honorable mention all-conference midfielder. Fortunately, lacrosse hasn’t ended quite yet. Almost four years ago I started helping with the program. This will be my fifth season coaching at my alma mater. I love the program, players, and community that Centennial has built. I look forward to continuing my coaching career this year! Go Patriots!
